Three Varieties

Nasal snuff comes in three distinct varieties; Fin, Demi-gros and gros, which are a reference to their grinds. Fin snuff is the finest grind with a consistency of baking flour or talcum powder and is also the most difficult to use. Because of it’s fine consistency, many users tend to inhale too deeply which causes sneezing and a slight burning sensation in the throat but, it’s also the variety that delivers Nicotine faster because the spread of tobacco in the nose is larger. All Fin snuffs are identified by it’s pale brown color and all American dry snuffs like Scotch and Scotch Sweets are classified as Fins.
